3D models are positioned in assemblies with the same structure as the actual product. 2D drawings can then be produced of assemblies. These drawings contain a bill of material showing the list of components used and how they are assembled together. Reference dimensions and relevant notes can be added.

Structural welded assemblies contain welding symbols and any additional machining requirements.
